Wake Up Thoughts

So I woke up this morning with a bit of a weird thought in my head. It was this,

If I were to choose a few words to describe the way I've been trying to live my life they would be "optimal, maximized, the best." Using deep thinking and my philosophical whit to define how I live me life.
Since I moved to North Carolina I've been having a lot of my child hood memories surface. I'm not really sure why but they've kind of made me realize what the most enjoyable parts of my life have been.

If I were to choose a few words to describe my most enjoyable memories or the parts of my life that I'm most appreciative of they would be "fun, playful, happiness, love"

It seems like there's quite a difference between the way I've been living and the way I love to live. I feel like when I was a kid, in the back of my head I was always asking myself "What can I do that's fun?" and if I couldn't find anything I would be bored. Now it seems like I'm always asking myself "What do I have to do?" and I never run out of things.

Just some interesting thoughts!

A Plan for Life

So what's your plan for life? Where are you heading and how do you live your life on a day to day basis?

With all things considered, why wouldn't you want to live the most amazing enjoyable and best life you can?

From the moment you wake up in the morning you can decide how you're going to live this day. Are you going to jump up and celebrate your life?! Give someone a huge hug and let them know they're loved?! Do something you're passionate about and love every minute of it?!

My idea of living the best life you possibly can goes something like this.

You live in the moment and enjoy every second of it because ultimately now is all there is. Smile and feel good about yourself from the inside out because you get what you give and if you can't give it to yourself then you can't expect to be able to give it to someone else.

Be financially smart because time can equal money and often does for most people. Don't let your desire to have new and cool things take away your ability to save money, because what you ultimate want is the feeling these things will give you, and all feelings come from within and you can have those feelings at any moment, learn to understand yourself.

Workout, stay and shape and love the feeling you get after a great workout. Your body is your temple and it goes wherever you go. Staying fit and in shape feels good both physically and emotionally.

Have fun, play, and enjoy the people around you. Appreciate them for their best qualities, bring the best out of them and allow them to bring the best out of you.

Hope you've been inspired and you're ready to live every day to its fullest :)

Another Good Habit

One of the reasons I had such a hard time running a web design business was that it was based out of my home. Your environment strongly affects your mentality, and most people do have a hard time being very productive in the place they relax, watch tv, and sleep.

I started going to the gym about a year ago and have been going every to every other day for the last year. Before that I used to try to workout at my house and by no means did I ever get as good of a workout as I do going to the gym. Going to the gym is a habit now and my day feels almost incomplete if I don't go.

A new habit that I'm developing to be as productive with my own time as possible is going to the library. I went for the first time yesterday and found that I was able to focus 100% on what I needed to do with no distractions. I believe the more times I do this the more I'll reinforce this habit and have a place to go where I know I'll be able to be productive.

After reading a lot of blogs about people who started home based businesses, this was one of the problems that was really self defeating. Having a dedicated place to do certain things better allows you to focus on those certain things ;)

So what do you want to do? And where can you go to do it? Start going there and doing it consistently :) you know you should.

Be-Do-Have

A lot of people these days are under the impression that if they only had this or that there life would be so much better. They want certain things but see themselves as a person without, therefore they continue to live their lives without what it is that they want and make it difficult to obtain.

It's kinda like this....

People are like magnets, attracting whatever they choose to be in their lives. A perfect example is how you attract that special someone into your life. If you're a loving caring person then someone looking to be with a loving caring person will connect with you. It works for everything. You can't get what you are not, and being all starts with seeing. When you see the world for what you want it to be then you become what you see.

So what do you choose to see this place as? Do you want more of that in your life? Because your going to get it.

Hope this blog was thought provoking =D

"Mind like Water"

Yesterday, while skimming through the bookstore, I came across a book with a very interesting concept.

There are many things in our life that we love to do, whether it's a certain sport, video game, or other activity. You most likely get so into what you're doing, you become "in the zone" and time just seems to fly by in the most enjoyable way.

Many people experience stress in their day to day life due to the inner conflict of what they're doing and what they'd rather be doing.

The concept of this book is to get "in the zone," or become so focused and into what you're doing that time just seems to fly. Learning to get "in the zone" with the things you have to do makes you more productive, have a better output quality, and makes your life more enjoyable.

I think people who master getting "in the zone" for whatever things they need to get done in their life will truly have a huge advantage.

Hope this idea helps you!

A New Niche

The website for BizzyBud Web Design is up and running and as excited as I've been to start this business I've realized that it's an incredibly competitive industry. If you plan to be truly successful in a competitive industry you need to either offer a better service or be more affordable.

6 months ago I started writing a software that's a game creation tool called RTS Game Creator. It basically allows anybody to create real time strategy games in a code-less environment. The software would take about 3-4 months of development before an initial release, and because I value my time, I wanted to see if there would be a demand for the product before investing a lot of my time.

So! I created a website for this product and tested to see how many people would attempt to download or purchase it. The results were great!

The product is so specific in its target market that there is little to no competition in this products industry. Which is incredible news!

I've continued developing the product and I'm sure to be blogging more and more about it.

Feel free to checkout the fake website and product concept at the link below

A Difficult Question

One of the most difficult things to do is take criticism constructively. Most people(including myself) take criticism as an attack to their self and get defensive.

So in asking the next questions to the people closest to me, I lowered my defensive shield and prepared to listen closely.

Being yourself, it can often be difficult to judge what other people think of you, and it's those that are closest to you that think of and about you on a consistent basis. In order to grow, the perception others have of you can play an important role.

So I asked....
What about me do you respect the most?
and
What area do I most need to grow?

It was interesting attempting to get an honest answer from the second question because people instinctively don't wan't to hurt your feelings. But I reassured them that I was looking for honesty and appreciated them helping me out.

Needless to say, the answers I got were actually quite consistent. I felt a bit surprised but it has definitely given me something to think about.

I'm not going to tell you what answers I got :) but I definitely suggest trying it. Be non-judgmental and really think about the answers you're getting.

Happy Living =D
