A Difficult Question

One of the most difficult things to do is take criticism constructively. Most people(including myself) take criticism as an attack to their self and get defensive.

So in asking the next questions to the people closest to me, I lowered my defensive shield and prepared to listen closely.

Being yourself, it can often be difficult to judge what other people think of you, and it's those that are closest to you that think of and about you on a consistent basis. In order to grow, the perception others have of you can play an important role.

So I asked....

What about me do you respect the most?

and

What area do I most need to grow?

It was interesting attempting to get an honest answer from the second question because people instinctively don't wan't to hurt your feelings. But I reassured them that I was looking for honesty and appreciated them helping me out.

Needless to say, the answers I got were actually quite consistent. I felt a bit surprised but it has definitely given me something to think about.

I'm not going to tell you what answers I got :) but I definitely suggest trying it. Be non-judgmental and really think about the answers you're getting.

How BIG are your IDEAS?!

So what's a big idea and why does it matter if I have one?

Lets put it this way, a BIG idea is like a large lifetime goal that inspires every part of your being. This BIG idea is going to send you on the most fulfilling adventure of your life. What's more fulfilling then taking progressive steps towards something you're incredibly inspired by?

When you have a BIG idea it makes all the little steps seem like a cinch!

What do I mean?

So my ultimate goal is to own the best web design company in the world. BIG idea huh? I'm set on it!

Writing a 20 page business plan is nothing compared to building the best web design company in the world.

Building a complex web site is nothing compared to building the best web design company in the world.

Meeting with accountants, lawyers, and business professionals is nothing compared to building the best web design company in the world.

But I'm inspired to think, wow, I'm writing the business plan, building a complex web site, and doing all these things for the soon to be best web design company in the world.

I'm inspired by such a big idea that makes all the little tasks seem easy.

So what's your BIG idea?

The Beginning

The end of my job is the beginning of a new venture.

This new venture is the start of an extraordinary life. Never have I felt so inspired to live the life I was born to live. I can't help but feel like nobody was meant to live a mediocre life, and for me, living an extraordinary life means a couple of things...

Doing something you love, loving someone you love, and being someone you love.

Every day I find myself one step better then the last. This is just the beginning, and what's the business plan?

To build the best web design company in the world. It's a virtually undominated industry.

I say car insurance, you think Geico, Progressive,

I say cars, you think Ford, Chevy,

I say computers, you think IBM, Dell,

I say web design you think!? If you're like me and many other people I've asked, nothing comes to mind.

Hence the slogan for BizzyBud;

It's just the beginning, and boy do we have big plans :)
